Computer skills in government administration
Abstract
The lack of a qualifying standard of competence in the information technology profession means that many IT projects fail. The need for extensive computer knowledge in the professional practice of the information technology profession is not widely understood in society, nor in the IT environment in particular. The surveys that have been conducted confirm this thesis. The sectoral qualifications frameworks (KRK) created in computer science should lead to a situation that demands professionals have a broad knowledge of information technology.
