Spatial panel data model of external effects of industrial clusters in Poland
Abstract
The paper presents the research of external effects of industrial clusters in Polish regions. We implemented methodology of spatial panel data models. We described problems connected with using spatial panels and presented models with different structures of spatial dependence. We proposed composite index to measure existence and strength of clusters in regions. The estimation results presented in the empirical part of paper showed that clusters functioning in the region have significant positive influence on real GPD per capita in that region.
