The convergence of TFP values between Polish voivodeships. An application of panel data unit-root tests
Abstract
The paper presents the results of the analysis of the total factor productivity (TFP) convergence between Polish voivodeships in the years 1995-2009. The inference was based on panel unit root tests. Because the TFP is an unobservable variable, the first step was to estimate its values on the grounds of the Solow model. For the lack of convergence between all the voivodeships, the hypothesis of the club convergence was also verified.
