Grzegorz Bliźniuk, Marta Lignowska, Tadeusz Nowicki Badanie efektywności procedur medycznych zapisanych w postaci ścieżek klinicznych *** Effectiveness investigation of medical procedures given in the form of clinical pathways Abstract The article shows how to investigate the effectiveness of medical procedures presented in the form of business diagrams which are called as clinical pathways. For each disease entity we construct a corresponding business process diagrams. In the diagrams we also define the parameters which are specific to the medical procedures associated with medical personnel, resources used in the diagnosis and treatment and with cost of individual activities. Effectiveness investigation of clinical pathways depends on the simulation method in which we collect the relevant characteristics that allow the evaluation of the effectiveness of various medical procedures.
