Opening the cultural assets - a proposal of a cost benefit model
Abstract
In this paper, a draft model is presented. The aim of the proposed model is a cost‐benefit analysis of opening cultural assets and resources with a purpose of their re‐use by creative industries. The result in the case of Poland is a general benefit of approximately 312 million PLN (78 million EUR) in the years 2014–2020 - although additional benefits from the educational and promotional impact of opening cultural assets could not be reliably estimated.
