The presence of public administration in social media

Abstract
The aim of this article is to present solutions for the presence of public administration in social media as well as to show these in the wider context of an online social project. Examples from developed countries prove that public administration should engage in creating new ways of functioning using Web 2.0 tools. Public administration should follow business practices which have been successful in communication with clients and it should include social media in its strategies. The activity in social media is a part of a social project which is supposed to lead to the development of civil society, building trust in institutions, and supporting the efficiency of public administration.
