Abstract
This paper presents a broadened view on data collections which are processed by IT systems and the nature of which requires that certain formal and legal requirements should be met during their processing. The analysis covers all kinds of data that are related to information on natural and legal persons and unincorporated entities. The analysis also attempts to create a generalised model of a homogeneous environment which would offer the possibility to use classical ICT methods and tools, taking into account the existing legal norms in this regard. The presented analysis also includes potential effects that may arise as a consequence of changes in the manner and mode of data processing following changes in legislation.
