The use of cloud computing by students: results of a pilot study

Abstract
The aim of the article is to present the questionnaire and the results of the pilot study “Use of cloud computing (pilot study)”. The study was directed to students and was implemented via the Internet at several Polish universities using Google Forms. The objectives of the pilot study were: presentation of the applicability of the proposed technologies; presentation of the questionnaire and assessment of the level of its understanding; presentation of the method of automatic collection of the respondents’ answers and results from their automatic development. In the survey, an attempt was made to identify the level of the use of cloud computing by students and the reasons for their use or non-use. In particular, the students have been asked questions about their knowledge of cloud computing, the use of cloud computing for individual and/or professional purposes, use directions, existing usage fears or reasons for not using cloud computing.
