Towards a sustainable information society
Abstract
The goal of this article is to propound a model of a sustainable information society. First off, the essence of the information society and the sustainable information society is presented. Secondly, economic, social and technological phenomena and trends of the sustainable information society development are identified and diagnosed. Then assumptions for the model of the sustainable information society are formulated. A special attention is paid to present the model of the sustainable information society. The article concludes with a discussion of research findings and future works. The achieved research findings will contribute to the creation and development of the research on the sustainable information society. Moreover, they can be useful while undertaking empirical activities aimed at the sustainable information society development.
