The application of panel models in the analysis of a conditional β-convergence including spatial dependence
Abstract
Economic convergence regions of the EU is one of the main objectives of cohesion policy. The basis of the hypothesis of the existence of economic convergence is a neoclassical Solow model. This article aims to present and compare the results of studies on economic conditional convergence of EU regions with the use of panel models and taking into account the spatial relationships.
