Public Sector Data Openness in Poland: The Analysis on the Example of the Central Public Information Repository
Abstract
The paper describes the most important assumptions of the Open Government idea and selected aspects of its implementation in Poland on the example of the Open Government Data initiative. There is described the legal status of releasing and re-use of public information, particularly in the context of the Central Public Information Repository. There is also an evaluation of open data providing in Poland by comparing selected aspects of the Central Public Information Repository functioning analogously to repositories in the United States, Great Britain, and Germany.
