Enterprise architecture vs the open government idea
Abstract
This article presents some problems related to the modernisation of the government functioning based on the enterprise architecture approach. The main goal of this modernisation is to achieve the features of Government 2.0+. The idea of open government needs new strategic initiatives which will create opportunities to build a reliable foundation for processing public tasks and digital services. The article presents the list of enterprise architecture principles and the list of research areas that contribute to the solution of major problems of information infrastructure in the open government practice. Taking these problems into consideration can be of substantial importance in putting the idea of open government into effect.
